Strike Branding
A little about by branding. We searched for ever to find a
place. It turns out its banned in most counties in our state.
We by luck were turned to the Flesh Chamber where I met Dave.
I guess he was on the body mod program that they had on the
Discovery channel a while back. Talked to him a bit and made
an appointment. During the next week I decided on what I
wanted. At first glance it looks like an E, but it means to
me"1 Life, 1 Family" meaning I'll do anything for my
family. There were two methods he could do, strike branding
(which I was told was more painful) or cauterizing. I went
with the strike branding, cause it was a mind game proving to myself
my loyalty for my family. Below are the pictures
of it being done. My friend Billie took them for me. She
was next anyhow, and we had the camera. lol. O yes, I do
plan on getting more. That's how much I enjoyed it!
Photos have been touched up in
Photoshop. They were a little dark, so i used Image >
Adjust > Auto Levels. So the colors may not be exact.
For instance my hair isn't that bright. No other touch ups
were done.
I wrote a store for www.bmezine.com
and it was published!
You can read about it here: My
fist strike branding.

Making sure he can line it up correctly.

Bringing out the blow torch. My pulse rose quit a bit! Look at his shirt, why do I get the feeling I'm doing something wrong? lol
|

Heating up the metal. This might hurt!
|

|

I flinched, it hurt. No I'm holding my arm down!
|

Time for the top strike! Give it to me!
|

Heating it up again. Does it look hot enough to you?
|

Its almost done now.

While online I read this little FAQ. This was so true about my
experience.
| How
much does a brand hurt?
Strike branding actually hurts much less than most people
expect -- in some ways it's a "head game" as
much as a physical ordeal. Proper strike branding hurts
for a second until the nerves are burned away (not like a
minor burn, like on your stove, which only burns the
surface). That said, please don't read that as it being
painless -- it still hurts A LOT both during and after the
strike being applies.
It should also be noted that the endorphin rush can be
quite extreme, and some people find the subsequent euphoria
disorienting (and sometimes addictive). When getting
branded it is recommended that you go with a friend who can
help you get home if you find the experience overwhelming. |
